We'd rather
measure than promise

Autowerks SA is a Durban-based performance operation specialising in ECU calibration and performance hardware, working across KwaZulu-Natal. We tune diesel bakkies and 4x4s that need to pull properly, and performance cars that deserve better than a file bought off a server.

Measured, not claimed

If we publish a number, it came off a car we tuned. We tell you whether it was taken at the wheels or at the flywheel, because the difference matters and most people hope you won't ask.

Reliability first

Every calibration stays inside the mechanical and thermal limits of your engine, with factory protection strategies left intact. A number you can't drive on every day isn't worth having.

One car at a time

Your calibration is written for your vehicle, your hardware and your fuel — then refined from datalogs. That's the part a generic file can never do, no matter what it costs.

What we won't do

The honest part

Being straight with you costs us the odd job. We're fine with that.

We won't tune a car that isn't mechanically fit for it — we'll tell you what to fix first
We won't quote a gain figure we haven't measured on that platform
We won't pretend a remap has no bearing on a manufacturer warranty
We won't chase a peak number at the cost of how the car actually drives
We won't disable a protection strategy to make a graph look better
